The Garage Sale was a modest success. Nice to meet a few readers of the blog, listeners to the radio show and early morning purchasers of the Saturday Trade and Exchange. All went more or less according to plan. We now have nothing to sit on, listen to, watch, sleep on or eat off. No telly. No couches. No bed. No sideboard. No audiobooks. No viewmaster reels…
Fortunately, the “Guess Who?” game wasn’t purchased, so our evenings haven’t been entirely dull.
I enjoyed selling my surplus-to-requirements music, which surprised me. I thought I’d be more emotional about it.
The first sale of the day was around 100 CDs and a vase. The final sale of the day was over 800 CDs and a Dante book. So… not too many albums left, but there’s plenty of other stuff. There’s no shortage of reading material here, and if you ever wanted to store anything crispy, do we have some airtight specials for you!
We’re leaving it all set up, and the second Garage Sale is this weekend. Saturday morning. Same place:
3A Outhwaite Lane
Grafton
See you there.
Apparently there are rules about what you can and can’t burn in your backyard, so everything’ll be priced to sell.

It was a pleasure to meet you, and I’m really pleased with my book purchases – and made my flatmates envious with some of them. Well done clearing so many CD’s!
