I went for one of those “follow your nose” bike rides today, which took me down all sorts of country lanes. I have no idea where I ended up – but I think it was near Henley-in-Arden, it took me over an hour to get back again, and it was pretty much like this wherever you looked.

Today I rode my bike In a slightly different direction than yesterday, and here’s a slightly different farmyard animal to prove it.
There’s probably a geek joke in here about MUDs and MOOs but I can’t think of one right now.
So… why the long face?
Another “what happens if I go down this road?” bit of bicycle navigation this morning, and I ended up face to face with some rather impressive and very friendly horses, standing in an enormous field of pure West Midlands mud.
I suspect they were probably hungry. Can’t imagine them finding much to eat down there. The big brown one stamped at the gate as I got back on the bike to ride off as if to say, “Oi! Not even a biscuit?”
