Today’s Bandcamp du jour is a recommendation by my friend Dan Harding from the band Good Night, States.
Pittsburgh indie/folk band Colonizing the Cosmos use a variety of instruments (and non-instruments) to create a lush, textured and interesting sonic mix. Great songwriting too – and comparisons to Sufjan Stevens are pretty unavoidable (that’s a good thing in my book).
The First Frontier is basically a concept album in what is commonly thought of as an age of single-track downloads. Use this to soundtrack your next psychedelic cosmic voyage and you’ll do fine.
