In the interests of getting more CDs to add to my collection, I’ve started reviewing for Telecom NZ’s XTRA-MSN portal(apparently our most visited website). Here’s the first of them:
Album Review: Bill Charlap Stardust (SACD)
Some CDs have superfluous tracks on them. Some have a couple of tracks that don’t even seem to belong to the same album. If you’re going to get yourself a copy of Stardust – pianist Bill Charlap’s collection of Hoagy Carmichael standards – then be prepared to start it at track 3 every time you play it, after the first couple of listens.
