Not where I expected to be
I was in Manchester, working on the Aftershock Project (going very well, thanks for asking), but David (the Aussie sound engineer) had a bit of a crisis.
His partner lost her car key, and he had the only other one with him. She was stranded with young child, and needed to be able to get around – and Aftershock’s a 10-day affair.
Unfortunately, he was under time pressure with a job he’s going to be pulling an all-nighter on back at the base, so I offered to jump on a train and take it to her. Fortunately, they live reasonably close to Kerryn, so I had a couch to sleep on.
