The other day, I was listening to a Nova Tunes compilation on the iPod on the way in to work, and I found myself hitting the skip back button to listen to this repeatedly. It’s a nice bit of fluff, and it worked in terms of lifting the mood for the rainsoaked bus trip to Perry Barr.
I’ve had it stuck in my head since and so I thought I’d find out about the act and play you the tune.
Vincent Van Go Go are from Copenhagen and they are purely and simply a party band. That’s their aspiration and it’s what they do. Can’t fault them for that.
Our main goal is to make music with a positive vibe and make people dance. We believe that its possible to deal with serious issues in our songs and still stay positive on the whole. We aim to make people think about life while remaining hopeful about the future. This philosophy stems from a longtime fascination with Brazil and our trips down there continue to serve as a source of inspiration in our music.
Nice bit of fun, and I felt I deserved a nice bit of fun. Thought you might be in the mood too.
It’s not going to change the world, but they have a website if you can be bothered with the auto loading music, and the dumb image-heavy design that pops everything up in a new window when you click on it.
