Today’s recommendation is a big dumb, fun album of smart, deft and funny alternative hip hop.
Disclaimer though – If you have a problem with swearing, then you probably shouldn’t listen to this. Or hip hop. Or watch television. Or go outside.
Dumbfoundead is Argentinian-born Korean-American, LA Underground battle rapper Jonathan Park, and Fun with Dumb is his second solo album. He’s suddenly my favourite rap discovery since I stumbled across Busdriver a few years back – and it seems the two of them move in the same circles.
Park is on Twitter (@dumbfoundead) and has a YouTube channel. His own domain http://dumbfoundead.com defaults straight to Bandcamp, where he’s got some free music available. Obviously someone who ‘gets it’.
