There are some people that subscribe to this blog via email and in their RSS reader. If that’s you, then the name of this blog is (perhaps inexplicably) ‘The Wireless’.
That might take some explaining to those who only visit the website and aren’t signed up to get these updates automatically.
You see, when I first started blogging a decade ago, I was the degree leader in radio at AUT in Auckland, and that’s what I thought my blog was going to be all about. So that’s how I set it all up. The original Blogger URL I used – long before I migrated to WordPress and then got my own domain – was ‘thewireless’ – and so, as a hangover from that time, messages are still going out via Feedburner under that old name.
But this site is not The Wireless – and that is not really what I talk about – so it’s time for a long overdue update. Unfortunately, that requires you to do something. One of two things, actually. You choose…
1) RSS Subscribers
If you subscribe to this blog in an RSS feed reader, such as Google Reader, then there is a new RSS feed to subscribe to:
Just click the link (or that orange icon right up the top of the website) and that should get you on your way.
2) Email Subscribers
If you’ve been getting The Wireless in your email inbox, and you’d like to continue to do so (but under my own name instead of the old title), then just enter your email address in the box below.
If you’re not seeing a form, click here to go to the page to do that.
Of course, you can unsubscribe any time you like.
I’m going to be deleting the old feed, so if you want to continue to get what you have been experiencing as ‘The Wireless’ for far too long, please do one of the above things. It’ll only take a second… and if you don’t do one of those things, these updates will simply stop.
I hope it goes without saying that if you’d prefer not to keep receiving my news and happenings, I will completely understand and will not be in the least offended. You won’t have to do anything, I’ll just quietly disappear (unless you also happen to follow me on Twitter).
Obviously, if you have never signed up to get this site’s content delivered to you automatically and you would like to, then following the above instructions will have exactly that effect.
Thanks so much for being with me on this journey. I’m starting to feel like I’m finally getting the hang of it.
