Bang on, I particularly like the bit about "the insane and poisonous idea that the reason to make music is to become famous" - I think this idea is a bit older than the reality/contest shows, but I agree that they have pushed it to a new level of general destructiveness. I don't pay much attention to them (none, actually) but I kind of get the idea, and it's an ugly one all around. Now, don’t hold back, tell us how you really feel!
