Broken-down train. Woo hoo.
Bit of an adventure getting back to Birmingham from Groningen. The train from Groningen to Schiphol broke down in Zwolle, so we had to hop to a later train to Amersfoort, then change there to get to Schiphol.
I was really worried I wasn’t going to make the flight – and it was pretty close. But I was able to walk more or less straight through onto the plane – then we sat on the tarmac for an hour or so while the plane was being de-iced.
Finally got home around 11pm after starting my journey around seven hours earlier.
