Really big week this week. I was in Oxford on Monday, Bath on Tuesday, it was Jake’s 17th birthday on Wednesday, I taught all day Thursday and I was at a full-day symposium today (Friday), in which I managed to get into an argument with the Minister for Creative Industries.
But it was all put into perspective and rounded off nicely when we went to Jake’s college production of Return to the Forbidden Planet. It was so much fun, and we had such a great time.
Of course, the best thing about it was Jake’s drumming. You can’t really see him on the stage, as he’s behind that screen – but you’ll get the idea of it all when you play the video. We’re very proud, of course…

Love the drumming! There’s no holding him back. It kind of reminds me of my favourite drumming from the 1960′s Batman TV show theme :)
