Chris Brogan, sporting a pro-blogger
One of the things that quickly became apparent at SOBCon08 was the predominance of facial hair amongst the male bloggers. Chris Garrett noticed it first.
Oddly, I had been growing a bit of a goatee for a couple of weeks (first time in at least five or six years), and had decided to leave it on for Chicago, not realising that I would just end up looking like I was trying to keep up with the cool kids.
Chris Garrett and I trying to outbeard each other (amateurs)
Of course, now I’m kind of committed to it. For a while longer anyway. Just so it doesn’t seem like a bloggers conference fad thing.

This is a riot! Great meeting you, and thanks again for the music, sir. : )
I hadn’t really noticed while there, but you’re right! Many of the male bloggers were sporting various styles of beards. I’m just sorry I missed meeting you at SOBCon08.
You’re making me jealous, Andrew. :)
I couldn’t grow a beard if my life depended on it!
Yep, beard variations were definitely in full effect – Chris Cree, Dawud Miracle, and myself also had them going – also Brian Clark and David Bullock, too, now that I think of it.
Next year: Starbucker.
Hello my friends :)
;)
