A sunny day in Shakespeare Land
Coming to the end of the short Christmas / New Year holiday break, so we thought we’d do a bit of a daytrip. A quick train journey to Stratford-upon-Avon, and a lovely day of walking around, visiting theatres and churches, boating up the river, browsing antiquarian bookstores and specialist punk record shops ensued.
A quick photoblog post should suffice here…

Where the walking around took place

We waited around here for a bit – just ’cause we could

Chips so good you have to queue
A really good day – and a cheap outing: £8 return for the three of us on a family railcard. Think we might wander round Coventry next weekend – depending on how I feel after a week of marking.
Jake’s more eloquent assessment of the day can be found at his blog, which he seems to be enjoying the idea of more and more. I think weekly posts might become rather more frequent…
In other news, I’ve put up a placeholder website for the forthcoming podcast of Clayborne, in anticipation of finding a metric truckload of bandwidth and server space. You’ll find that here: [link to Clayborne].
