Be in to WIN! A clean, reasonably self-sufficient 3 year-old neutered female ginger cat by the name of Lucy could be yours – just write a caption for the photo below and you’ll go into the draw.

Ginger female tabby cats are rare. Almost as rare as tortoiseshell males. Not rare as in ‘worth money’, but rare as in ‘might make for a good icebreaker conversation at parties (as long as you’re talking to someone who knows about cats)’.
One prior owner – an eleven year-old boy who will miss her terribly when we leave the country in a couple of weeks. The cat, however, will be yours to keep. Originally a gift from Santa as a teeny kitten, so presumably she’s okay in polar climates (but let’s not test that theory, okay?)
Lucy is foot-of-the-bed compatible (she’s an on-top-of-the-covers, rather than an under-the-covers sort of cat) and is very good about asking to be let out. She’s also okay with sleeping outside. She’s been a mother, but she’s now been fixed, and has had all appropriate medication. No prior illnesses or fleas.
She likes sharpening her claws on stuff, and so she comes supplied with her own carpeted scratching post with a little bell. She likes that.
Your caption should demonstrate wit, caring, and a loving nature – and also reveal about you the kind of personality that would be regular with feeding and general care and attention. It doesn’t have to be funny.
