I'm not sure of the BBC's motivation - I applaud the effect without questioning the cause. You may be right about Dr Who. No idea.

Try typing LPFM into MY little search box (below). You'll have more luck.

Glad to hear you've tried Static online. More people should do that. Not sure of Jarra's web plans, but I should be talking to him over the next few days, so I'll mention it if I hear any news.

Thanks for chipping in.

Is anything known of the BBC's motivation for moving to CC? Is it simply because that which is good, true, obvious and right appeals to them. I am wondering if the high profile "Dr Who" copyright case that the BBC lost a couple of years ago might have had an influence? It seems to me that the ruling in that case left the whole concept of "BBC copyright" in disarray.

Is there a link to your LPFM article? I poked around on the Mediawatch site and could not find it. Typing "LPFM" and "Dubber" into their little search box didn't help either.

I give Static FM a listen every once in a while (via the net). It's not quite my taste in music. But Twisted Radio's 96k stream sounds pretty neat at the moment. I hope Jarra gets his web stream running again. I miss not having Up FM on the net.
