Radio station stunt jams Green Party phonelines

A Radio Pacific prank jammed Green Party phonelines yesterday afternoon.

Green Party parliamentary offices received 150 calls in 90 minutes, while MPs’ mobile phones rang constantly after the numbers were broadcast. Radio host Ian Wishart told listeners to vent their anger at Green-supported moves to severe ties with the London-based Privy Council, a Green Party spokesman said.

(I’m sorry – Radio Pacific? Prank?! I know we’re in survey but it still surprises me. What surprises me even more is the number of Pacific listeners that can text message. I thought most of them were still coming to grips with the demise of rotary dialling…)
